Free codes

Free QR codes are made in your browser. The link or text is inside the code itself, so they never expire and don't depend on ScanSpot. Use them for anything legal.

Editable codes and plans

• Personal: $20 a year, up to 10 editable codes. Business: $50 a year, up to 100 codes, daily scan charts, making codes from a list, and CSV download.
• Plans renew once a year automatically. We email you before each renewal, so it's never a surprise. You can cancel any time from My codes → Manage billing. You keep editing until the paid year ends.
• If you stop paying, your codes keep working. They keep opening the last link you set and keep counting scans, as long as ScanSpot is running. You just can't change them until you renew.
• Refunds: if you're not happy, email us within 30 days of a payment and we'll refund it in full.
• Prices can change for new customers. If you subscribe at a price, you keep that price for as long as you stay subscribed.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

What you can't do

Don't point codes at scams, phishing, malware, or anything illegal. We can switch off a code that does, without a refund. To report a code, email us with its link.

What we store

• Your email address (for logging in and receipts).
• Your editable codes: the name you give them, the link they open, and how many times they're scanned each day.
• We don't store anything about the people who scan your codes: no IP addresses, locations or devices.
• Visits to this website are counted without cookies. We keep a daily anonymous number, not who you are.
• We don't sell or share your data. We only email you about your account.
