ScanSpot

QR code with your logo

A QR code with your logo and colors looks like it belongs to your brand, and people are more likely to scan it. Here's how to do it without breaking the code.

How it works

QR codes have built-in error correction: part of the code can be covered and it still scans. When you add a logo, ScanSpot switches to the highest level, which can recover about 30% of the code, and clears a space in the middle for your logo.

How to add your logo

  1. Make your code as usual.
  2. In "Make it yours", open the Logo tab and choose your image.
  3. Pick a size and whether it sits on a square, a circle, or nothing.
  4. Download, then test it with two or three different phones.

Questions

Will a logo stop my QR code from working?

Not if it's a reasonable size. Codes with a logo use extra error correction. Always test before printing.

Is adding a logo free?

Yes. Logos, colors, gradients, shapes and frames are all free.

What image format should my logo be?

PNG with a see-through background works best. JPG works too.
